Megan James

Ex-Powerlifter/Mom/Wife

A very strong Powerlfiter that transitioned to a STRONG MOM/WIFE

Meghan’s Story

  • Meghan and I competed in Powerlifting meets together for 2 years then priorities changed, she found love and became a mom and wife! Well a year ago, she reached out and wanted to get back in barbell training!

    • Regain strength and confidence in the barbell

    • Improve body composition

    • Build strength and muscle

    • Better help with nutrition

  • Since Meghan had a good understanding of the big 3 already, we tested his 1 Rep Max’s in Squat, Bench, Deadlift. Then I built a progressive overload program with accessories movements that help aide the primary lift along with strength and conditioning drills.

    • Down 20lbs, 5.5.inches, 3% body fat

    • From a 245lbs squat to 345lbs sqauat in a year (100lbs PR and beat her old squat PR in comp)

    • From 125lbs Bench to 145lbs Bench in a year (20lbs PR)

    • From 225lbs Deadlift to 335lbs Deadlfit in a year (110 lbs PR)

    • Overall confidence improved through our training

I met Nick when I started powerlifting in 2017 so when I decided to hire a personal trainer after having my second baby, I knew Nick was someone I could trust!

During our first session, Nick took the time to ask about prior injuries and my fitness goals so he could build a training program specifically designed for me. On days when we didn't meet in person, he consistently checked in and was quick to respond to any questions I had about my workouts.

With Nick’s help, I not only got back to being consistent in the gym, but we also increased my strength on all three big lifts (two of which even passed my pre-baby numbers!) and improved my overall body composition.
